Clinical Directors help supervise the staff in providing services to clients. Clinical Directors often hire and train employees, as well as oversee various programs in the organization, budgets, and they may also monitor grants. The main role of a Clinical Director is to ensure the best level of care to patients and clients. Interns and other support staff are supervised by the Clinical Director, who often has to develop relationships with outside agencies such as social services or mental health providers.
